My family and I usually come here for special occasions and this year we decided to visit for New Year's Day. We were very disappointed with a couple of things. When we were seated at our table, staff members were taking down all of the Christmas decorations (very noisily may I add). This was making it very difficult for us to have any conversation or even concentrate on reading the menu. One member of my party's space was very rudely invaded in the process of taking down some decorations and this made them feel quite uncomfortable. Service was a lot slower than usual, even though the restaurant was not very busy. There seemed to be some sort of business meeting going on too because there were measurements being taken of various fittings and fixtures which made us feel even more uncomfortable. When having a drink in the bar before being seated in the dining area, I couldn't hear myself think with all the young children and hustle and bustle going on surrounding them. There were buggies lying around everywhere and little room for anyone else to sit and enjoy a quiet New Years Day drink. The young children then started to affect our meal in the dining area as the parents of said children, thought the dining area was a good place to teach their toddlers how to walk! Very selfish and inappropriate to do when a family is trying to enjoy some quality time together celebrating. Frankly, this has completely ruined our image of SQ and we won't be returning in a hurry, which is extremely unfortunate due to its ideal location and very nice food.

Favourite restaurant I’ve ever been to. If you love seafood the muscles are for you. Tried the Mariniere sauce with them and it was so good I was spooning it out of the pot. Crème brûlée for dessert which was really tasty but who has crème brûlée without shortbread 😭

Having read a positive review in our holiday accommodation we were tempted to try SQ Bar & Restaurant. We were not disappointed really pleasant ,enjoyable place. The food and menu choice was delicious, welcoming and efficient. Highly recommend it for a great meal out with friends.

Fabulous place to eat its spotlessly clean and great friendly service. The food is amazing and cooked to perfection and large portion sizes. We went when it was extremely busy and we didn't have to wait long for the food. I give this place a five star rating it's excellent 👌

Amazing service and food as always. came on Sunday without booking, thought we'll chance it. And they found us a table without problem! Orders came fast and as always delicious. We had pizzas for kids, super salad with smoked salmon and mussels, followed by sticky toffee puddings, ice creams and sorbets. All very tasty!

Steak was inedible and impossible to chew at this place. 3 of us had it, all of us sent it back. Twice. We left after taking 2 bites and they refused to cancel the charge. To be fair seafood platter was really good. If you must come here don’t get steak.
